Terms & Conditions
The following Terms & Conditions are between Helen McDonald founder of and therapist at Essential Wellbeing and yourself, the client.
They outline how we will work together to provide a safe, effective and enjoyable treatment.
By booking a treatment with Essential Wellbeing, you are agreeing to undertake Reflexology based on the terms outlined below:
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Payment
Payment can be made in advance via PayPal or by bacs, or by cash or contactless card payment on arrival.
If you have private health care insurance, you may be able to be reimbursed for your treatments. Please check your policy or call your provider and let me know if you need a receipt.
Cancellation Policy
Sickness
If you are feeling unwell it might be necessary to reschedule your appointment until you are feeling better. Please get in contact with me to discuss whether it is suitable for you to attend your treatment.
The reason I ask this is so as to protect other clients attending my clinic and myself. Receiving reflexology when unwell; for example, when you have a cold or the flu can make you feel worse following treatment.
Appointment Time
Please arrive for your appointment at the time stated on your booking confirmation as I do not have a waiting area.
If you arrive late, the session can only continue until the end of the scheduled appointment time. Please be aware that you will still be charged for the full session.
Client Health
I understand that sometimes you might need to cancel or rearrange your appointment. I kindly ask that you contact me to cancel 48 hours in advance. This is so that I can offer your appointment time to someone else.
Please be aware that where 48 hours’ notice has not been given or if you do not turn up for your appointment it will be necessary to invoice you for the cost of your appointment.
In the event that the therapist needs to cancel your appointment, an alternative appointment will be offered. If you have paid upfront for your session and you are not able to attend the amended appointment a refund will be issued.
Before your first treatment I will send you a link to complete an Initial Consultation Form. This form asks you questions about your medical history and current health. It is your responsibility to answer all questions honestly.
Since COVID-19 all consultations must be done in advance to reduce time spent in the treatment room. I please therefore ask you to complete the form before your appointment.
All new clients are required to complete an online client health questionnaire for a treatment to go ahead, this form will be emailed or text to you within your appointment booking confirmation. Failure to complete the form will result in the appointment being cancelled.
There may be some reasons why it is not possible or safe for you to have treatment, this consultation form helps to determine your suitability.
It is therefore the right of the therapist to cancel your appointment if treatment is not deemed suitable.
I may ask you to check with your GP if it is safe for you to have a treatment, in which case we would need to postpone your session until you have medical consent. This is for your own safety.
Pregnancy & Fertility Treatment
If you are pregnant or currently undergoing fertility treatment, it is important that you inform me so that I can refer you to a specially trained therapist, who has trained in pregnancy and fertility Reflexology.
Disabilities
If you have a disability that may affect your treatment, please contact me so that I can either alter the session accordingly or advise of another practitioner that may be able to help you.
Mobility Issues
The treatment room is located in my garden; access is via a gravelled path and there are 3 steps to the treatment room.
If you have a mobility issue I will need to refer you to a clinic that is more accessible for you, for your safety.
Personal Hygiene
I ask that you wash your feet before your treatment out of consideration for both yourself and the therapist.
Respect
I ask that you be respectful at all times, you can expect the same from your therapist. It is important that the treatment room remains a safe and comfortable environment.
If a client’s behaviour is deemed to cause discomfort or offence, then the session will be terminated and the client will be asked to leave the premises. A refund will not be issued in this instance.
Toilet Facilities
Please be aware that due to the location of my treatment room, there are no toilet facilities available.
